Dresden Cards 2008

The city has several great discount cards for short-term visitors that offer free travel, free museum admissions, free bus and tram travel and other benefits.

Dresden Cards are valid at any time from 01.01.2008 to 31.12.2008 and include the following:

  • Free transportation on all trams and buses within the Dresden network of services operated by DVB AG, on the Elbe ferries and on local trains of the DB AG only within the Dresden fare zone. DVB Route Map: http://www.dvb.de/netz/start.htm
  • Free admission to 12 museums: Old Masters Picture Gallery, Armoury, Porcelain Collection, New Masters Gallery, New Green Vault, Numismatic Collection, Sculpture Collection, Exhibitions in the Georgenbau wing of the Residential Palace, Mathematical-Physical Salon, Saxon Folk Art Museum, Pillnitz Palace/Arts and Crafts Museum, Puppet Theatre Collection.
  • Discounts in museums and exhibitions and for sightseeing tours

Dresden City-Card 2008

Validity: 48 hours in Dresden for one adult
Price: € 21
Discounts for children:

  • Valid for one adult and children up to 5 years of age.
  • Free admission for two children up to 15 years of age to all museums of the Saxon State Art Collections in Dresden (except for Historic Green Vault)

Dresden City-Card 2008 for families

Validity: 48 hours in Dresden for two adults and maximum of four children (up to 14 years of age)

Dresden Regio-Card 2008

Validity: for 72 hours in Dresden and the whole region for one adult
Price: € 32
Discounts for children:

  • Valid for one adult and children up to 5 years of age.
  • Free admission for two children up to 15 years to all museums of the Saxon State Art Collections in Dresden

Advantages:

  • All services of the DRESDEN-CITY-CARD for 72 hours
  • Free travel on public transport routes of the partner transport companies in the whole of the area around Dresden (Oberelbe region)
  • Free travel on all ferries on the Elbe (except for the ferry in Rathen and the international ferry from Schöna to Hrensko)
  • Discounts in the region: Karl May Museum, Hoflössnitz Vineyard Museum, Albrechtsburg palace Meissen, Moritzburg Hunting Lodge, Rathen Open-air Theatre, Weesenstein Castle, Stolpen Castle, Altenberg Summer Toboggan Run
